This Tuesday March 9th - Jackson Liberty Jazz Ensemble
to perform at the
NJAJE State Prelims
Performance time is 8:20pm - be EARLY in case of any changes
Please see schedule page for performance line up & directions.

Due to the Jazz Festival Competition on March 9th at Steinert High School,
the Band Parent Meeting will take place on
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7pm.

The Schedule Page has been updated. The Jackson Liberty Jazz Band will be in the
PRELIMINARY ROUND - STATE JAZZ FESTIVAL at the STEINERT HIGH SCHOOL
March 09, 2010 - performance time 8:20pm (time subject to change, come early!)




There are seats available to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade if anyone is interested in going.  The seats are $20.00.  Your only responsibility would be to meet the buses at the end of the parade to go home.

There are also a few available seats on the trip to Hershey on May 22, 2010 if anyone is interested in going the cost for the park and the bus for non-band students is $70.00. This includes the all you can eat buffet and bus ride. The band student cost will be $60.00. 

Please contact Chris crissg764@optonline.net if you are interested in going on either of these trips.

We are also in need of volunteers for the Jazz Festival on April 10, 2010. We can use people in the kitchen selling food, if you are available to help please contact Chris...  Thanks!

Band Parent meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
OUR NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED BAND PARENT MEETING
IS
WEDNESDAY MARCH 10TH.
The regular meeting will begin at 7:00PM.
(The meeting was moved to Wednesday this month
due to the Jazz Band Performance at Steinert)




Congratulations to the Liberty Jazz Ensemble for reciving a score
of 8.9 out of 10 at the Nottingham Jazz Festival.

They also won best saxophone, best trumpet
& best rhythm section awards.
Gary Basko won best overall soloist.

Please remember that if you sign up for bagging and cannot make your scheduled time to CALL 732-367-0478 and let Chris Gouker know.We are supposed to have chaperones at each shift and if you don’t let Chris know then she is short chaperones along with students to bag. If you sign up for a bagging please mark your calendar, Chris will send out a reminder but it should your responsibility to keep track.

UNIFORMS
Please have your child hang their uniform on a plastic or sturdier hanger.
The wire hangers are not sturdy enough to hold up the uniform.
Please make sure you have the uniform dry cleaned regularly.
